On Monday, the King's College Athletic Department welcomed its latest addition to the coaching staff as Associate Vice President and Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation Cheryl Ish announced Jessice Lingenfelter as the next Head Women's Soccer Coach.

"I want to thank Cheryl Ish, Andy Orlowski, and the search committee for trusting me to lead the King's College Women's Soccer program," said Lingenfelter. "I am looking forward to getting to know all the players throughout the spring and building a successful team that will leave a lasting legacy on the field and off the field for KCWS."

Lingenfelter comes to King's after a brief stint at Juniata College where she spent the 2024 season as an assistant coach, guiding the Eagles to an 8-8-3 overall record and an appearance in the ECAC Quarterfinals. She aided in building travel itineraries, scouting reports for upcoming opponents, conducting academic and individual meetings, recruiting, and implementing plans for both practices and games.

Prior to her time in Huntingdon, Lingenfelter spent a year as the Lancaster Elite Head Girl's Soccer Coach and oversaw all coaching responsibilities with a special focus on building a foundation of skills for the players. Additionally, she spent two years with the Power Train Sports and Fitness organization, first as a Performance Coach then as a Performance Director where she was responsible for workout planning for over 100 clients. In addition, Lingenfelter was involved as a Summer Soccer Camp Coach for First Touch Soccer Academy in 2021 and 2022.

"Jessica will bring a new outlook and strong culture to the women's soccer team," stated Assistant Athletic Director Andy Orlowski. "She will have a huge impact on the current roster and the energy to build a program with a successful future. She understands how building relationships relates to high level play on the field.  She will have her teams playing with confidence; they will be relentless and fearless. She has a plan. I am excited about the future of this program with Jessica as the head coach."

A 2022 graduate of conference-foe Lebanon Valley College with a degree in Exercise Science, Lingenfelter spent four seasons with the Flying Dutchmen as an outside back. She was a two-time team captain and four-year starter, accumulating 10 career points, and led the team to back-to-back MAC Commonwealth Semifinal appearances. She was also a solid student-athlete as a Dean's List recipient, MAC Academic Honor Roll honoree, peer tutor, and SAAC representative.

Lingenfelter begins her duties on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025 ahead of the Spring 2025 semester and an exciting spring session.
