Ahead of Sunday's NCAA Division III National Championship Football game between North Central College and the University of Mount Union, D3football.com released its 2024 D3football.com All-America Team. For the third consecutive season, the King's College football team was honored among the best in the nation as senior safety Zach Barber was named to the D3football.com All-America Third Team.
Barber becomes the program's third All-American in as many years and 11th to earn D3football.com All-America honors. He joins Joe Carchio in 2023 and Teone Sherrod in 2022 who both earned All-America Second Team accolades.
The safety adds to his list of postseason accolades as he was named to the D3footbal.com All-Region 1 First Team and the All-MAC first team this season. He also collected MAC Defensive Player of the Week recognition this season for his play in the win at Eastern (10/12/24). On the season, Barber had a standout campaign as he led the team with 17 passes defended, including a team-high five interceptions with 12 break ups, while adding 55 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery.
North Central quarterback Luke Lehnen, Mount Union defensive end Rossy Moore, Bethel safety Matt Jung and Mount Union running back Tyler Echeverry highlight the 2024 D3football.com All-America team. It's the 26th season D3football.com has named an All-America team. The 2024 D3football.com Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Coach of the Year will be announced following the Stagg Bowl.
