For the second season in a row, the King's College football team broke its single-season best with 20 All-Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) honorees, including Russell Minor-Shaw who repeats as the MAC Offensive Player of the Year and Head Coach Mike Cebrosky who earned MAC Coach of the Year. Minor-Shaw is the first Monarch football player to repeat as a MAC Player of the Year, while Cebrosky is the program's first Coach of the Year since Rich Mannello earned the award in 2002.
Minor-Shaw was also named to the All-MAC First Team as a quarterback and is joined by running back Brennan Robinson, tight end Ryan McCombs, offensive lineman Liam Carroll, defensive lineman Osman Kamara, linebacker Jared Reto, linebacker Jake Ruppert, defensive back Amir Gibson, and defensive back Zach Barber. The All-MAC Second Team honorees are running back Jayon Hailey, fullback Jake Feese, wide receiver Mike DiGregorio, offensive lineman RJ Dugue, offensive lineman Marko Galetovic, defensive lineman Sean Lavine, and special teams player Jacob Mullery. This year's All-MAC Honorable Mention recipients are offensive lineman Kaleb Beers, offensive lineman Kenny Monaco, kicker Delaney Hilferty, and linebacker Trevor Gleason.
Cebrosky helped lead the Monarchs to their first MAC title since the 2002 season and their first out right in program history. King's set new single-season records with 26 passing touchdowns and 325 points scored, and they set a new consecutive win streak with their current nine-game stretch.
Minor-Shaw caps off a historic career with the Monarchs with his second Offensive Player of the Year honor and second First Team nod. He threw for 1,767 yards on 130 completions for a 66.7% completion percentage and conference-bests of 26 touchdowns and 181.7 efficiency. The senior also ranked eighth in the MAC in rushing yards, totaling 616 yards and 11 touchdowns on 115 carries. He set new season records for passing touchdowns, completion percentage, and efficiency rating, and collected four MAC Offensive Player of the Week recognitions throughout the season. Minor-Shaw threw for over 200 yards four times, ran for over 100 yards twice, had at least one touchdown in each game, and went six games without an interception this season.
Robinson had a monstrous season for the Monarchs as he earns his second All-MAC Honors this season as a First Teamer after collecting All-MAC Second Team and Rookie of the Year in 2021. The senior led the MAC in rushing yards per game with 101.4 while rushing for three touchdowns and adding 72 passing yards on eight catches for two touchdowns. Robinson ran for over 100 yards in all but three out of the eight games he played in this season, including a season-high 177 at Eastern.
McCombs collects his second All-MAC honors after being named to the Second Team in 2023. The senior caught 18 passes for 161 yards and five touchdowns, including a four-game stretch with a touchdown reception in each contest to start the season. He also recorded two tackles and forced a fumble to aid in his stats this season.
Carroll earns his second All-MAC award for his career after appearing on the All-MAC Honorable Mention team last season. He was part of an offensive line that set up a conference-best 2,247 total rushing yards at 224.7 yards per game and 21 touchdowns, while giving the pass game the opportunity to total 1,767 passing yards at 176.7 yards per contest with 26 touchdowns with just 16 sacks allowed across 10 games.
Kamara had a breakthrough year for the Monarchs defense as he was named to the All-MAC First Team as a defensive lineman. The sophomore was named MAC Defensive Player of the Week and earned a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week after the team's homecoming victory over Widener. He also finished the regular season with 58 total tackles, 11.0 tackles for a loss of 65 yards which ranked seventh in the MAC, and 9.5 sacks for a loss of 63 yards that ranked third in the MAC. He recovered a fumble, had a pass break up, hurried the quarterbacks 11 times, and recorded a new program season best four blocked kicks.
Reto had another strong season for King's as he tabbed All-MAC First Team honors after being named to the Second Team last season. He ranked fifth in the MAC with 85 total tackles this season, while adding 6.5 tackles for a loss of 12 yards, 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble, two interceptions with 29 return yards, three pass break ups, and a blocked kick. Reto also totaled double-digit tackles twice in wins over Eastern and FDU-Florham.
Ruppert climbed the ranks this season alongside Reto as a feared linebacker threat to earn his first career All-MAC accolades on the First Team. He led the team and ranked fourth in the MAC with 91 tackles while adding 3.5 tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries, and five pass break ups. Ruppert posted six games with double-digit tackles, including a five-game stint mid season, starting with his heroic efforts in the team's homecoming win over Widener.
Barber thrived in his role this season to collect his first career All-MAC honors as a First Team recipient. He earned MAC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the win at Eastern with a pair of interceptions and break ups and recorded 52 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery. He was a feared defensive back among the conference as he was second in the conference with five interceptions and 15 passes defended, adding 10 break ups throughout his senior campaign.
Gibson made program history this season and picked up his third All-MAC award after earning Honorable Mention in 2022 and Second Team in 2023. The senior led the MAC in passes defended with 16, totaling a conference-best 13 break ups with three interceptions while also setting a new program career record in pass break ups. Additionally, Gibson totaled 38 tackles and 0.5 tackle for loss.
Hailey had another solid season for the Monarchs to earn All-MAC Second Team after receiving Honorable Mention status in 2023. The junior ranked sixth in the MAC with 70.6 rushing yards per game, totaling 706 on 114 carries with seven touchdowns while also adding 162 receiving yards on 17 catches for two touchdowns. He ran for a season-best 165 yards and two touchdowns in the team's impressive win at Albright that helped secure the out right MAC title.
Feese stepped into the fullback role this season for the Monarchs and made an immediate impact, earning his first career honors as an All-MAC Second Team recipient. He was a key member of the Monarchs offense, helping the offensive line that set up a conference-best 2,247 total rushing yards a at 224.7 yards per game and 21 touchdowns, while giving the pass game the opportunity to total 1,767 passing yards at 176.7 yards per contest with 26 touchdowns with just 16 sacks allowed across 10 games. He also added one catch for 34 yards at FDU-Florham.
DiGregorio capped off an impressive career at King's with his second straight All-MAC Second Team nod. He ranked seventh in the conference with 52.9 yards per game, totaling 529 yards on 37 catches with four touchdowns. The senior pulled in 102 yards on three catches with a touchdown in the team's important win at Albright to secure the out right MAC title, and he also added three kick returns for 58 yards and nine punt returns for 39 yards.
Dugue was a staple to the Monarchs' offensive line this season as he was named to the All-MAC Second Team. The graduate student ranked 14th in the MAC with 4.5 sacks for a loss of 29 yards while adding 30 total tackles and 6.5 tackles for a loss of 33 yards. He also posted two quarterback hurries and a pass break up that led to a key interception in the win over Delaware Valley.
Mullery was a force on the Monarchs' special teams unit as he was awarded All-MAC Second Team as a special teams player. The sophomore recorded 24 tackles, 1.0 tackle for loss, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery during the 2024 campaign, and he had a tackle in every single contest this season.
Beers stepped into a key starting role as the center for the King's offensive line and collected All-MAC Honorable Mention accolades for his efforts. Hilferty was as reliable as ever this season as she collected All-MAC Honorable Mention honors as a kicker this season. The senior went 33-for-34 on extra-point attempts, including an impressive 6-for-6 in the win at FDU-Florham on October 26.
Gleason rounds out the record-breaking list of 20 All-MAC Honorees as the linebacker earned All-MAC Honorable Mention recognition. Despite suffering a mid-season injury, Gleason was a force in the MAC as the senior made 30 tackles in just six games, including 4.5 tackles ofr a loss of 12 yards with four pass break ups and a quarterback hurry.
Delaware Valley's Jacquez Mabin was named MAC Defensive Player of the Year, while Stevenson's Dillon Johnson was named MAC Rookie of the Year to round out this year's major award winners.
