King's Athletics to Host Second Annual NGWSD Free Sports Clinic on February 9

King's College Athletics will celebrate the 39th Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) on Sunday, February 9, 2025. King's will host a free sports clinic for girl athletes featuring skill or technique instruction from each King's team represented.

Girls in Kindergarten through 6th grade (K-6) will have the opportunity to participate in a fun sports clinic alongside King's student-athletes and coaches. Check-in will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Scandlon Physical Education Center. The clinic will begin promptly at 11:30 a.m. and run until 1:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, and participants must register AT THIS LINK to take part in the clinic.

The event is one of many events taking place across the country for National Girls and Women in Sports Day. NGWSD is devoted to recognizing the progress of girls and women in sports and the benefits that sports and fitness activities can bring to the lives of all girls and women. The day is organized nationally by the Women's Sports Foundation.

Monarch athletics will have an abundance of team's represented, including women's basketball, cheerleading, women's cross country and track and field, Esports, field hockey, football, women's golf, women's ice hockey, women's lacrosse, women's soccer, softball, women's tennis, and women's volleyball. Each team will teach skills and fundamentals of their sport to campers to provide a wide-range of experiences and opportunities in women's sports.
