Teachers from Wilkes-Barre, Norristown, and Harrisburg, Pa., Become First Master’s Candidates to Complete King’s College School Leadership Track

This master’s degree and certification track started in 2022 and is tailored to teachers in Pennsylvania who are working towards a variety of leadership roles in school districts across the state.

The first graduates are Mary Patricia Blaskiewicz, a secondary English teacher at Holy Redeemer High School in Wilkes-Barre; Kelly Smith Espinoza, lead kindergarten teacher at Musselman Learning Center in Norristown; and Laura Lynn Jecker, a technology education teacher at Reach Cyber Charter School in Harrisburg.

All three educators are also members of Alpha Epsilon Lambda, the national honor society for graduate and professional school students.

The principal certification is also available as a standalone online program. The King’s College Education Department offers a variety of graduate and certificate programs—both in person and online—aimed at helping teachers advance their careers including courses in curriculum and instruction, special education, and reading. Endorsement programs in autism, English as a second language, instructional coaching, and STEM education are also available.
