Our law program features accelerated tracks with Duquesne University and Villanova University. As one of our law students, you can complete your undergraduate requirements at King’s College before transferring to a partner law school to complete your J.D. Please review these options below.
This program is offered as a 3+3 pathway in which King’s students spend three years at King’s and then three years at Duquesne, with credits earned at the successful completion of the first year of law school transferring back to King’s to satisfy final graduation requirements.
Benefits of this track include a waived application fee, preferred admission without the competition of the rest of the applicant pool, and a guaranteed $25,000 per year scholarship and eligibility for traditional financial aid and scholarships in the 3+3 program.
Qualifications
To qualify, students must have:
Completed at least three years of coursework (minimum 90 credits) at King’s College including all CORE requirements and the major courses required in the student’s field of study. Transfer students are generally not eligible for the 3+3 track.
Earned a minimum GPA of 3.50 as calculated by the Law School Admission Council
Taken the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) no later than December of their junior year and earned a minimum score of 154 on the LSAT.
Obtained a strong recommendation from the King’s College Pre-Law Advisor
Interviewed successfully with the School of Law prior to receiving a final admission decision
Completed application by February 1
Remained in good academic and disciplinary standing throughout their matriculation at King’s College
Met all fitness, character, and other criteria for admission required by the Office of Admission of the Duquesne School of Law
For the 3+3 program scholarship, the GPA and LSAT requirements set by Duquesne must be met to receive admission and the maximum scholarship. Currently, a student needs a King’s College GPA of 3.5 and the LSAT minimum set by Duquesne, which is 154.
A 3+3 pathway in which King’s students spend three years at King’s and then three years at Villanova, with credits earned at the successful completion of the first year of law school transferring back to King’s to satisfy final graduation requirements
A 4+3 pathway in which King’s students apply to Villanova in their senior year and matriculate at the School of Law after having graduated from King’s
Benefits of these tracks include a waived application fee, preferred admission without the competition of the rest of the applicant pool, guaranteed annual full tuition scholarship during three years of law school in the 3+3 program, and guaranteed one-half tuition scholarship and eligibility for traditional financial aid and scholarships in the 4+3 program.

Earn a GPA which exceeds the median GPA of the latest class to enter Villanova Law School. GPA is calculated by both King’s College and the Law School Admission Council
Taken the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) no later than December of their junior year and earned a minimum score at or above the 75th percentile of the most recent class to matriculate at the Villanova School of Law
Obtained a strong recommendation from the King’s College Pre-law Advisor
Completed application by February 1
Interviewed successfully with the Villanova School of Law prior to receiving a final admission decision
Remained in good academic and disciplinary standing throughout their matriculation at King’s College
Met all fitness, character, and other criteria for admission required by the Office of Admission of the Villanova School of Law
For the 3+3 program scholarship, the GPA and LSAT requirements set by Villanova must be met to receive admission and the maximum scholarship. Students must meet or exceed the 75th percentile LSAT score and exceed the median GPA listed on Villanova Law School's Class Profile page here. For the 4+3 program scholarship, the GPA and LSAT requirements set by Villanova must be met to receive admission and the maximum scholarship. To qualify, students must meet or exceed the 75th percentile LSAT score and exceed the median GPA listed on Villanova Law School's Class Profile page here.
LSAT and GPA standards are set by Villanova University based on their latest admitted law class and may change each year. The required LSAT score and required GPA may vary in the year in which the student applies.
