Performance and Sports Science Master’s Degree Curriculum

The sports science curriculum is structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of exercise science, biomechanics, nutrition, and sports psychology, with a special emphasis on the competencies outlined by the new National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) certification for Performance and Sports Science (CPSS) (not to be confused with the NSCA CSCS certification which is conditional a pre-requisite for the program).

The sports program entails a 36-credit curriculum with twelve three credit courses offered in seven-week blocks (see curriculum below). Students may choose to complete the program in one or two years and enter the program during the fall, spring, or summer semesters.

The one-year option would require students to take the year one and year two classes simultaneously. Students will need to complete five virtual workshops (one Saturday and Sunday for each workshop). Workshops will be available multiple times to choose from to allow for international time zone differences. Year one and year two courses will be offered every year.
