As a transfer student, you've likely been through the orientation process at another institution, so we want to make the transfer process as smooth as possible. While there are many facets to college life you already know, we look forward to your attendance during the Fall Welcome. We firmly believe these events to be a great benefit for meeting friends and learning specifically about King's resources. By the first day of class, you'll be even more familiar with our campus and community and feel right at home!
Beginning early to mid April, deposited transfer students will receive an email providing information on how to access the Orientation Portal. As part of your Orientation checklist in the portal, you're required to schedule a Transfer Advisement Session prior to Fall Welcome in order to be registered for classes.
Since you've already taken classes at another institution, it's important any applicable credits carry over and you're placed in the appropriate classes. During this advisement session, you'll meet with an academic advisor to review your credits, create your class schedule, and finalize next steps. You can also use this appointment to meet with other offices, such as Financial Aid or Residence Life.
If you have any questions about Transfer Advisement, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Academic Advisement, at academicadvisement@kings.edu.
