King’s College Strength and Conditioning Program First in Pennsylvania to Land National Accreditation
King’s College today announced that its Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science strength and conditioning track is now one of the first in the United States—and the first undergraduate program in Pennsylvania—to receive accreditation from the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s (NSCA) Council on Accreditation of Strength and Conditioning Education (CASCE).
CASCE is the accrediting body for strength and conditioning education programs that ensures graduates are equipped with the necessary skills to succeed in the field. The NSCA is a globally recognized organization dedicated to advancing the strength and conditioning profession.
“We are thrilled to be recognized as a pioneer in exercise science education,” said Dr. Jan Kretzschmar, program director of exercise science at King’s College. “Achieving accreditation from CASCE and the NSCA is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, the quality of our curriculum, and our commitment to providing students with an exceptional education that aligns with industry standards.”
The King’s College exercise science program is designed to use theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience to prepare graduates for a variety of careers, including strength and conditioning coaching, personal training, sports science, and rehabilitation.
Not only does the accreditation enhance the program’s visibility and reputation, but it also creates new opportunities for partnerships with industry leaders, further enriching the educational experience for students.
“Our goal is to produce highly skilled professionals who are ready to make an impact in the fitness and health industries,” said Dr. Deric Grohoski, assistant professor of exercise science. “With this accreditation, our students can be confident that they are receiving the best possible education and training.”
