Multicultural and International Student Programs (MISP)
We promote and celebrate a multicultural environment
The Office of Multicultural and International Student Programs supports the identity of every student. We offer educational and social programs that highlight the value every student brings to campus regardless of race, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic level, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We believe the strength of a multicultural atmosphere is in the understanding of what makes every student unique.
Mark your calendars and get excited to celebrate diversity! Check out our full schedule of Fall 2024 events here!

Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA)
The Gay-Straight Alliance organization of King's College. GSA consists of a group of dedicated individuals who seek to foster awareness, understanding, and acceptance of the many issues facing the LGBTQ community. While this is our primary goal, we also maintain other important objectives such as the continuation of a 'safe' environment free of bias through educating the campus community in understanding the complexities of sexual orientation-identification. In addition, we aim to unite the campus community by various means of proactive events such as open discussions of LGBTQ issues within the campus and surrounding community.
Chosen Name Form
In support of King's College commitment to provide an equitable and safe experience for students whose legal name does not reflect their gender identity or expression, King's accepts requests from such students to use a chosen first and/or middle name on certain college records. A student's chosen name will be used where feasible in all College systems unless the student's legal name is required by law, deemed necessary by college policy, or the students requested name is determined to be for intent of misrepresentation. Complete the Student Name change form here and once submitted, the Registrar's Office will receive notification.
South Asian Student Association (SASA)
To educate the King's community about South Asian Culture. This organization will provide: A) Programs to educate the community. B) Events to celebrate holidays (Ex: Diwali, Holi, Navratri). C) A place to socialize and make new South Asian friends and those interested in the culture
The ALLY Program
The ALLY Program is available at King's College to assist faculty, staff and students in becoming resources for students who are part of the LGBTQ community. It is a process of working to develop individual attitudes, institutions and cultures in which people who are LGBTQ feel they matter. This work is motivated by an enlightened self-interest to end homophobia and heterosexism.
Faculty, staff and students of King's College who have been trained in the ALLY Program display the above ALLY Symbol on the door of their office or residence hall rooms. This symbol indicates the individual's willingness to discuss LGBTQ concerns.
An ALLY is:
- one who serves as an information resource to the King's College community
- one who works to end oppression and discrimination of the LGBTQ student
- one who provides a non-judgmental and compassionate space for LGBTQ students to be accepted and heard
- one who is familiar with issues and concerns of the LGBTQ community
- one who has attended the ALLY Program
