Maria Grandinetti, Ph.D.

Biography

Maria Grandinetti, Ph.D., RN, BSBA, CNE, brings over 30 years of Registered Nurse experience, more than 15 years as a Nurse Educator, and over 10 years as a Certified Nurse Educator with the National League for Nursing (NLN). She is the founding Director of the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Hybrid Program and directs the RN to B.S. Program at King’s College.

Before starting at King’s and now as an Associate Professor in the Nursing Department, she has developed, revised, and taught numerous didactic and clinical nursing courses at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. Her clinical practice experiences are in the specialty areas of renal, obstetric, and pediatric nursing, particularly enjoying years of nursing in labor and delivery, which is a testament to her practical knowledge and dedication to patient care. Dr. Grandinetti's passion lies in mentoring future nurses, nurse educators, and advanced nurses enrolled in Ph.D. and DNP doctoral programs. Her experience supervising and mentoring in nursing, coupled with her knowledge and expertise in writing curricula, policies, procedures, and pathways in nursing education, is a testament to her commitment to the profession and the development of future nursing leaders. Her research interests investigate best teaching practices and emerging methods and strategies for students' learning.
