Diane M. DellaValle, Ph.D., RDN, LDN, has been a Registered Dietitian for more than 20 years and has been teaching graduate students for more than 10 years. As a research dietitian and nutrition scientist, her work primarily focuses on iron deficiency and its effects on physical and cognitive performance, with an aim to enhance the iron status of vulnerable populations (e.g., women, children, athletes) worldwide through sustainable approaches.
Dr. D's background in Nutrition Science and Dietetics is complemented by extensive training and expertise in assessing and analyzing human performance data, and she specializes in designing, implementing, analyzing, and interpreting human clinical trials, particularly those involving biochemical and dietary assessments. Throughout her career, she has served as a research dietitian and principal investigator on numerous projects, allowing her to explore the relationships between dietary intake, biochemical indicators of nutrient status, and the functional outcomes of nutritional status.
