King's College is comprised of three academic units: The College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Health Sciences, and the William G. McGowan School of Business. Our academic program is rigorous and taught by more full-time professors with the highest degrees in their fields than found at most institutions.
These academic units are knit together with the Core Curriculum. Regardless of your individual major, you will participate in a set of courses and experiences designed to help you develop the intellectual maturity and moral strength to lead a purposeful, meaningful life. As the name suggests, the Core is central to a King’s liberal arts education in the Catholic tradition.
King's also operates the McGowan Center for Ethics and Social Responsibility, which is a visible, dynamic expression of the commitment of King's College to form graduates who will champion the inherent dignity of every person and mobilize their talents and skills to serve the common good. The Center invigorates the intellectual life of the College through lectures and panel discussions, conferences, faculty development workshops, faculty-student research opportunities, and Zeal: A Journal for the Liberal Arts.
