Wilkes-Barre, Pa.—King’s alumnus Brian George ’70, owner and operator of Northshore Sea Bright, a boutique men’s clothing store in New Jersey, donated more than $10,000 worth of professional and business casual clothes that have been distributed at the Professional Clothing Closet at the William G. McGowan School of Business and the Shoval Center for Community Engagement and Learning.

The Professional Clothing Closet is operated by the College’s Accounting Association to assist students who are hesitant about attending job and networking events because they do not have access to the appropriate clothing.

“We hope to inspire confidence by having students look and feel great whether interviewing for an internship, job opportunity, or attending any professional event,” said Dr. Tara Shawver, Accounting Association Advisor.

Students and faculty pose with suit jackets in a closet that provides formal clothing for students in need.
