Welcome to the Graduate Program in Health Care Administration at the William G. McGowan School of Business. We appreciate your interest in healthcare administration. Healthcare is the largest industry in the US., and the second largest employer, with more than 11 million jobs. It represents one of today's most dynamic and growing fields, with a wide range of opportunities and challenges. Our academic programs provide outstanding executive management and leadership training for students interested in making a significant contribution to improving the health of the communities they serve.

Our current program offerings include the Master of Science (M.S.) in Health Care Administration and the Graduate Executive Leadership Certificate for Health Care Professionals.  Students now have the option of completing both the M.S. in Health Care Administration and the graduate certificate program online through our Distance Learning platform.

The M.S. in Health Care Administration is designed to provide students with the professional knowledge and management skills necessary to be effective and socially responsible leaders in regional, national, and global health services systems.  The program seeks to develop in its students an essential understanding of the healthcare delivery systems and services, the factors that influence the healthcare environment, appropriate healthcare management and research skills, and professional competencies that are pertinent in today’s healthcare environment. The Graduate Executive Leadership Certificate for Health Care Professionals program is designed to provide physicians and other health care professionals with basic business and management knowledge and skills as they seek leadership positions in hospitals, integrated delivery systems, managed care organizations, nursing homes, health departments, clinics, and home health agencies.

State-of-the-art curricula is taught by faculty who draws from a wide range of disciplines, with expertise in health services research, health economics, epidemiology, public health, human resources management, and finance. They are leaders in their profession and are committed to providing you with a high-quality educational experience.

Students have the option of completing the entire M.S. in Health Care Administration graduate courses and the Graduate Executive Leadership Certificate for Health Care Professionals program courses online through King's College Distance Learning Platform (Moodle).
